About the Role
Akens\Nordburg is searching for a Sales Consultant Spain (m/f/d) based in Madrid for a top German IT company that offers software solutions for quality management.
Main Responsibilities:
• Independently establish and develop the sales territory in Spain.
• Proactively identify and target new customers through direct outreach, networks, and referrals.
• Qualify and prioritize leads and sales opportunities, ensuring successful deal closures.
• Conduct structured and persuasive product and solution presentations (both online and in-person).
• Prepare and negotiate offers in accordance with company guidelines.
• Continuously monitor market trends and developments.
• Expand and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Gather and deeply understand customer requirements, goals, and challenges.
• Define clear, customer-focused solution approaches and value propositions.
• Proactively collect and systematically share relevant market and competitive insights with headquarters to enhance the positioning of our solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Professionally and authentically represent the company on-site.
• Maintain ongoing reporting and update sales documentation (Salesforce).
• Actively participate in events, trade fairs, and networking activities, and provide organizational support when needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
Professional Experience & Background:
Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable technical or commercial field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven B2B sales experience with complex, consultative solutions or products, ideally in the software sector (ERP, QM, PLM, MES, etc.).
Self-Starter Mentality & Initiative (Critical!):
Ability to self-organize, identify opportunities, and proactively pursue them.
Strong sense of responsibility as the primary local contact in Spain.
Realistic expectations: We are looking for someone who enjoys working autonomously and proactively. We do not expect perfection but rather a clear hands-on mentality.
Local Market Knowledge & Cultural Fit:
Strong understanding of the Spanish market, local decision-making processes, and business practices, with existing local network or the ability to quickly build one.
Flexibility & Willingness to Travel:
Readiness to visit customers across Spain (with valid Class B) driver’s license and occasionally travel to the German headquarters.
Sales Personality & Solution-Oriented Mindset:
Passion for interacting with people and building strong relationships.
Solution-oriented thinking with a realistic approach to sales cycles and success.
Communication & Language Skills:
Native Spanish speaker with strong English skills (for communication with HQ).
Nice to Have:
Experience in international companies or market expansion.
Knowledge of quality management processes or ISO standards.
